Introduction

Beijiang Middle School was founded in 1939 and through various government recognitions over the years has consistently been graded as a high quality and prestigious learning institution. The school today boasts an enrollment of over 3000 students within the 3 grades of study in 60 different classes.

The school is recognized as one of Guangdong's 10 key provincial schools and the only one within the Shaoguan district.  This status as a key provincial school allowed the school to establish a dominance over other Shaoguan middle schools due to the "regional parity" policies stemming from the 1960s which saw funding spread around the province with the key provincial schools receiving the lions share of funding in each of Guangdong's regions.
